*Job Title: Temporary Finance and Human Resources Specialist*
*Status: Non-Exempt*

*Reports To: Chief Financial Officer*
*Work Dates: January 2, 2024 - October 2024*
*This is a temporary position working Monday through Thursday each week, with a flexible work schedule.
Training will be provided January - mid-March.
Occasional overtime may be required.
This position is benefits eligible at 30 or more hours per week.

* *PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT: The successful candidate will be required to complete fingerprinting through an approved fingerprinting vendor and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
* *POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for functions relating to vendor payments, purchasing, and other financial functions.
This position is responsible for the management of Employee Health Benefits as well as assisting in the coordination of grants.
* *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:* *Training: This is a long term temporary position, thorough one-on-one training (with notes and training manual) will be provided.
* *Finance: Invoicing through accounting system, generate invoices, purchase order management, issue payment check, UMB p-card management, annual audit preparation, USPS mail, phone and voicemail and accounts receivable and bank deposits.
Grant Management including all necessary reporting, close fiscal monitoring and management, request for funds, and year end close out, Other various tasks assigned by the CFO.
* *Benefits: Benefits management including Ease portal management, and in accounting system, administration of all benefits and retirement programs, Assist with new hire orientation and open enrollment process, bill payments, COBRA documentation, new hire/ midyear/employment termination benefits, and employee assistance.
* *EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High School Diploma/GED required.
* *EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three (3) years bookkeeping experience, preferably in a government organization, school district, or other public sector organization.
* *Knowledge of principles and practices of accounting preferred.
* *General knowledge of state, local, and school system fiscal regulations, policies and procedures preferred, or willingness to learn.
* *Any equivalent combination of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
* *KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:* *Ability to follow instructions and respond to supervisor direction and take responsibility for own actions.
* *Ability to maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality when dealing with student, staff, and/or parent information.
* *Ability to meet challenges with resourcefulness and generate suggestions for improving work.
* *Maintains a generally positive attitude.
* *Understand and follow complex oral and written instructions.
* *Perform responsibilities without the necessity of close supervision.
* *Meet attendance standards and work the hours necessary to perform the essential functions of the job .
