For over 130 years The Historic Hotel Colorado has provided exemplary service to Presidents, Celebrities, Athletes, and people from all over the world! Due to a recent restructuring, we are recruiting a new position of Staff Accountant - Payroll for the Historic Hotel Colorado.

The Payroll Accountant will be required to process a Bi-weekly payroll through our payroll software, assist the Director of Finance with maintaining associate files and journal entries.
In addition, the Staff Accountant - Payroll, will maintain phone and personal contact with staff and vendors on accounts receivable matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Organizes and maintains reports and files per required retention periods.
Maintain correspondence and relationships with Receivable accounts.
Maintains regular attendance, is on time and observes prescribed work, break and meal periods in compliance with standards.
Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming

Qualifications and Requirements
Education/Experience
A high school diploma required, college level accounting a plus, 2 years of hands on Accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common financial reports.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to interact effectively in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Computer Skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
Experience with automated accounting systems is required.
This position is eligible for a one time hiring bonus of $500.
00 after 90 days of continuous employment.
