Magswitch is looking for a skilled and experienced field service engineer to manage the commissioning install and trouble shoot our Heavy Lifting Systems and Automation Tools on site throughout the US.
*Responsibilities:*
1.
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identify and resolve technical issues with under-the-hook crane devices, and automation tools, utilizing your expertise to diagnose problems efficiently.
2.
On-Site Support: Provide on-site technical support for clients, responding promptly to service requests and minimizing downtime through effective troubleshooting.
3.
Maintenance and Calibration: Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of Magswitch tools to uphold peak performance standards.
4.
Working with the supplier to gather compliance and technical documentation and drawings.
5.
Client Training: Educate clients on the proper use and maintenance of Magswitch products, offering insights to enhance operational efficiency.
6.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including troubleshooting steps, solutions applied, and any equipment modifications.
7.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and sales team, to communicate issues and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
8.
Remote Assistance: Provide remote technical support when on-site visits are not feasible, leveraging technology to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
*Requirements:*
1.
Technical Expertise: a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
In-depth knowledge of Ethernet/IP communication protocols preferred
2.
Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions efficiently.
3.
Customer Focus: Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach, ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and support.
4.
Field Experience: Previous experience in a field service role, preferably working with electrical/mechanical tools or similar equipment.
5.
Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information to clients and internal teams.
6.
Travel: Willingness to travel to client sites as required for on-site support and service.

- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
Skills:
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments for accurate equipment calibration.
- Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and techniques.
- Experience and Certification with Forklift Operation
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience with fabrication and welding techniques preferred.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems for work order tracking.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.
