Boulder County Housing and Human Services is looking to hire a Business Analyst in our Community Support Division.
This division has adopted lean process improvement principles and practices to guide continuous improvement cycles.
Lean is a set of principles where organizations can maximize customer value, by eliminating waste with respect for people.
This strategy aims to streamline workflows, minimize inefficiencies, remove redundancies, improve quality, and nurture value-added work processes, which ultimately, passes on value to the customer.
The division’s employees strive to think critically about problems and create PDSA (Plan, Do, Study, Act) projects that will guide them toward data-driven solutions.
The project outcomes aim to increase value to both the public the division serves and the employees.
The Business Analyst provides analysis on a wide array of process improvement and technology projects within the Community Support division.
The Business Analyst serves as a primary contact for technology and business issues that are affected by technology in the division and support the division with data tracking and evaluation for Lean process improvement projects.
This position plays a crucial role in supporting the Lean process improvement efforts of the division by providing data-driven insights and recommendations for enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
This role, under the special projects team, is responsible for evaluating and analyzing business processes and data and finding opportunities for improvement, Community Support division.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and this position will work out of Longmont and/or Boulder, CO.
This position will have the opportunity for a hybrid schedule (a combination of in-office and remote workplace).
Under FLSA guidelines, this position is exempt.
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
2023 Hiring Salary Range: $74,988.
00 - $91,476.
00 Annually2024 Hiring Salary Range: $77,616.
00 - $94,680.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Data Collection and Validation: Work with cross functional teams to gather relevant data from various sources (CBMS, HHSC, manually tracked, client and staff surveys etc.
), ensuring data integrity.
Design and develop data collection methodologies and tools for Lean process improvement test cycles.
Collaborate with Information Technology to gain access to real-time data.
Conduct qualitative data collection including calling clients and understanding their experiences.
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Employ statistical and analytical techniques to analyze data, identify trends, bottlenecks, anomalies, and correlations.
Interpret data to draw meaningful insights and conclusions related to process efficiency and improvement opportunities.
Report Generation: Create comprehensive reports, including statistical and analytical summaries, to present findings and insights.
Develop visually appealing and easy-to-understand reports that facilitate decision-making for process improvement initiatives.
Process Mapping and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map current business processes and value streams.
Document current and future state process flows, key performance indicators (KPIs), and pain points.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and lean process improvement.
Recommendation Development: Based on data analysis and process documentation, formulate actionable recommendations for process enhancements and efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and implement lean initiatives that drive continuous improvement.
