SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented Unreal Engine C++ Software Engineer to implement and support a next-generation geospatial operator interface to visualize processing, fusion, and tracking for exploitation of remote sensing systems.
Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded, experienced Unreal C++ developer who works well as a part of a team, prioritizes the quality of their product, and seizes opportunities to be creative, learn and grow as a developer.
Responsibilities
Contribute to developing a performant Unreal Engine C++ application for geospatial visualization of complex, high-bandwidth streaming data
Write clean, optimized, maintainable C++
Write automated tests and documentation for Unreal C++ codebase
Design, prototype, implement a variety of 2D and 3D user interface components and data pipelines
Participating in Agile standups, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
At least 3 years of experience with C++
At least 1 year of experience with Unreal or a comparable rendering engine
Familiarity with Linux operating systems and terminal work
Commitment to quality in code and software engineering practices
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Detail oriented
Good verbal and written communication skills
Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred
An advanced degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
At least 5 years of experience with C++
At least 3 years of experience with Unreal or a comparable rendering engine
Knowledge of 3D graphics APIs and GPU technologies including DirectX and OpenGL
Strong working knowledge of trigonometry and linear algebra as it pertains to 3D rendering
Optimization skills for high data throughput processing
Experience with Python, Javascript, Bash
Familiarity with microservice architectures
Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab-CI/CD
Experience with OPIR, E/O, SAR, Spectral, RF, or other remotely sensed data
A current DoD security clearance

The pay range for this position is $94,000 to $185,000 / year.
