The PTC Generative Design team is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our highly skilled team.
As our Backend Engineer you will help to deliver functional Generative Design systems that improves our customers’ design experience.
You will deploy services that leverage data analytics to radically change the way products are designed and made.
You will be part of a team at the forefront of a new design paradigm contributing directly to PTCs vision; enabling digital to transform the physical world.
As part of this your role job you will: Develop, deploy, operate, and scale the Advanced Generative services as part of our global SaaS CAD products Communicate technical design and delivery schedules with peers Write automated tests for newly added code Collaborate with the generative design core team plus team members in the OnShape and Creo organizations product groups Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Coding experience in one of the following or similar: C++, Go, C#, Java Strong foundation in computer science, data structures, algorithms Open to pair-programming Comfort with Linux Will be a plus: Experience developing and deploying a cloud-based multi-server architecture Experience performance tuning across a cloud stack Experience monitoring and debugging cloud applications Knowledge of Docker and deploying to Kubernetes Understanding of Cloud Security requirements Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD best practices PTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which include a candidate’s background and experience, in determining salary for a position.
Compensation will vary based on these factors, but PTC anticipates the salary range for this position to be between $90,000 - $130,000 USD.
The actual pay may be lower or higher depending on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and location and may also include the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus.
Additionally, every PTC employee has the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program which allows employees to purchase discounted PTC stock and, for eligible roles, an equity grant.
Subject to the terms and conditions of PTC’s benefits programs, employees may be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and sick leave policies, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) contributions and employer match, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage and a generous commuter subsidy.
